'"THREE OF THE MOST PROMINENT ROLES IN ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL ARE FILLED BY BRITISH BORN THESPIANS (COACHED BY JOEL GOLDES) USING IMPECCABLE AMERICAN ACCENTS."                                                                                          -- REELVIEWS

I received an email from a Dutch citizen reading, "Just like to applaud you on Ryan Phillipe's Dutch accent in Five Fingers. I wondered myself if he really was Dutch. I am myself and his accent was very convincing. Job well done: I always assumed it must be difficult either to fake or teach a Dutch accent for someone who is not Dutch himself, but this proves it can be done." Five Fingers will be in theaters in early 2007.

I coached English actor Rupert Friend in a New Orleans accent and American actor Jessica Chastain in a South Carolina accent for the independent feature Jolene, based on the E.L. Doctorow short story, currently lensing in Arizona.

Reelz Channel, a new cable network devoted to films and filmmaking, sent a crew to my studio to record me working with a client for an interstitial about my work. It will show between longer programs as one of a series of shorts about people who work on films.
