I spent several weeks coaching the lead actor and an actor playing a supporting role for an NBC pilot. The lead is not an American actor, but wanted to use an American accent that would show that his character came from somewhere specific in the US. The supporting player is a non-native English speaker.
My past acting and directing experience uniquely qualifies me as a dialect coach: not only can I guide you in the subtleties of a new accent, I can also help you explore sound possibilities within the character's given circumstances.
